Co branding is the utilization of two or more brands to name a new product. The ingredient brands help each other to achieve their aims. The overall synchronization between the brand pair and the new product has to be kept in mind. Example of co-branding - Citibank co-branded with MTV to launch a co-branded debit card.

This card is beneficial to customers who can avail benefits at specific outlets called MTV Citibank club. Ingredient co-branding implies using a renowned brand as an element in the production of another renowned brand.

This deals with creation of brand equity for materials and parts that are contained within other products. For instance - Dell computers has co-branding strategy with Intel processors. The ingredient brand should be unique.

It should either be a major brand or should be protected by a patent. Ingredient co-branding leads to better quality products, superior promotions, more access to distribution channel and greater profits. The seller of ingredient brand enjoys long-term customer relations. The brand manufacture can benefit by having a competitive advantage and the retailer can benefit by enjoying a promotional help from ingredient brand.

The success of composite branding depends upon the favourability of the ingredient brands and also upon the extent on complementarities between them.

Co-branding has various advantages, such as - risk-sharing, generation of royalty income, more sales income, greater customer trust on the product, wide scope due to joint advertising, technological benefits, better product image by association with another renowned brand, and greater access to new sources of finance.

But co-branding is not free from limitations. Co-branding may fail when the two products have different market and are entirely different. If there is difference in visions and missions of the two companies, then also composite branding may fail.

Co-branding may affect partner brands in adverse manner. If the customers associate any adverse experience with a constituent brand, then it may damage the total brand equity. View All Articles. Similar Articles Under - Brand Management. Please enter a valid zip code in the United States.

They are sometimes referred to as "multiple benefits" or "synergies". They do not include the direct benefits of climate policy arising from a more stable climate. One of the most obvious examples is cleaner air. There is a big synergy here, because fossil fuels are not only the main source of the greenhouse gases that cause climate change, but also the main source of air pollution worldwide.

Tackling climate change by burning less coal, oil and gas will have the extra benefit of cutting emissions of soot, acidic gases, ozone-forming gases and toxic compounds that cause heart and lung diseases and cancer, killing millions of people around the world each year. Although many of the options we have for controlling climate change have co-benefits, there are can also be conflicts or trade-offs between climate policy and other objectives.

Examples include the waste disposal problems of nuclear power, and the visual impacts of wind turbines. Often there are ways of minimising these conflicts.

The important point is that policy makers need to take into account all the pros and cons of different options, and design policy very carefully to minimise the conflicts and maximise the co-benefits. Policy makers tend to look at issues such as climate change in isolation.

If all the co-benefits are taken into account, there is usually a far stronger case for climate action. For example, the health benefits of cleaner air may exceed the costs of climate action. In developed countries, the health benefits of low-carbon lifestyles more walking and cycling, less over-consumption of meat and dairy produce are even greater than the benefits of avoided air pollution.

Co-benefits may help to persuade the general public of the desirability of climate action - especially those who do not accept that climate change is a serious problem. While the benefits of tackling climate change are hard to quantify, and may accrue mainly to people in other countries and to future generations, the benefits of cleaning up the air in your local town are far more immediate.

By looking at the big picture, taking into account all the co-benefits and conflicts, we can design a strategy that will deliver a cleaner, healthier, safer and more prosperous future.

This is a brief introduction. More details and full references can be found in my book.Co-leadership is a model of operating a business where there are two people who are in charge instead of just one.

Top 12 Benefits of Co-parenting

The leaders involved will take a split-task approach to the responsibilities of leading the company, creating an advantage because each leader can focus on their strengths. Spreading the responsibility offers support to co-leaders. A new businessman with an engineering background may benefit from having a co-leader with a strong business background. As with any business structure, there are certain advantages and disadvantages to co-leadership which must be considered. A collaborative effort may be hard, creating conflicts along the way, while allowing for smarter collaboration opportunities to create strategic results.

When there are co-leaders in place to lead a company, then less emphasis is placed on the actual chain-of-command in the company. When everyone involved has an opportunity to be a leader in their own way, the company benefits because everyone is paired and supported by everyone else. That means there are more opportunities for personal growth and creativity, as there are fewer hierarchy restrictions in place. When there are fewer artificial blocks put in place that affect personal job performance, employees have more opportunities to grow.

When there are more growth opportunities in place, the revenue growth opportunities for the company improve as well. To generate these benefits, co-leaders need to work in a way where their contrasts can be used in a complementary way, creating a synergy which allows for maximum productivity.

Diversity helps a company to grow as well. With different personalities, experiences, and perspectives available within the leadership core of a business, there are more opportunities to find for growth. Although differences in personality can create conflict triggers, if they are effectively managed, the depth of conversations, ideas, and creative moments will generally make the company better.

When there are two leaders running a company, the responsibilities of leadership can be split to allow those with the most strengths in each specific area where some work needs to be done. That makes the logistics of moving forward easier for the company because there is more overall availability.

Even something as simple as meeting availability improves when there is a co-leadership structure in place. Because of the positional equality, progress can be made even if one of the leaders is not available for some reason. Co-leaders will invariably look at each situation with a unique perspective. That gives employees two or more forms of feedback to utilize for personal improvement instead of just one. A co-leadership structure offers more sets of eyes that can identify potential problems, evaluate situations, or offer ideas because one person can lead out with their strengths instead of trying to shore up their weaknesses to be effective.

Think about co-leadership like this. You have a group of 10 boys. Half of them like to play football. The other half like to play basketball. When there are two leaders in place, the needs of all the employees can be met. One leader plays football while the other employee plays basketball. Now take that process to needs in the business world, like recruiting, employee development, budget structuring, and all the other daily operations that a successful business requires. More areas of the business receive personal attention from the leadership, which means there are fewer chances for something to go overlooked.

For co-leadership to be effective, there must be compatible leadership styles in place within the organization. Without compatibility, the co-leaders will send mixed messages to their employees. This issue often comes up when one leader has a more authoritarian leadership style when compared to the other leader. That causes employees to tailor their responses to each leadership style, which creates confusion within each role.

The Extensive Benefits of CoQ10

That is because the employees in the business see co-leaders as a single CEO for their business. If one of the co-leaders decides to pursue something that is unethical, or they make a mistake on a project, then those negative actions will be assigned to the other co-leader as well. That can make one leader feel helpless about the problems which exist. So your organization has decided to take its customer engagement strategy to new heights through customer participationand is considering co-creation.

Many congratulations! While your ultimate goal might be along the lines of collaborative product design, customer experience improvements, or faster, and more meaningful consumer insightthere are plenty of other benefits that co-creation can bring along the way.

Co-creation is defined as the practice of collaborating directly as peers in the design and development of an innovation with a traditionally external group. The first benefit that co-creation brings is the wealth of creativity, expertise and passion that external groups can bring into an organization. I mean, we all know how much Jen brings to the table.

But imagine the potential if you could also bring in a motivated external group of people with a wealth of ideas that your awesome team may have otherwise missed. Depending on the type of group that you engage to join your co-creative community, external audiences could bring many unique ideas and skills to the table:.

The co-creative process promotes democratization: the participants whether they are part of the organization or outside of it are creative peers.

Having a community provides an opportunity for ongoing collaboration.

the benefits of co

Unlike idea contests or crowd innovation challenges, where crowds submit ideas and then disperse, the community is available to collaborate with the organization throughout the process, from ideation, to vetting, to go-to-market. While members are enticed by the opportunity to see ideas through from beginning to end, brands must also keep the community engaged through other activities in order to give them more reason to come back to the platform.

Like we said, successful communities encourage their members to participate in activities in order to keep them engaged, even after the initial challenge is complete. These activities present opportunities of their own that can be beneficial to you and your brand.

You can facilitate activities that help you gain further insights from the community that can be useful for the challenge at hand. Have members help you vet even your wildest ideas. What do they like? What do they not like? Are there ideas that seemed good to your team but are not being received well by your fans? Activities that are either directly or indirectly related to the innovation process can yield information that you may not have accessed through traditional market research.

On the other hand, communities must also have activities that encourage members to flex their creative muscles. These activities do not directly affect the main purpose of the community, but it encourages members to come back and participate. When that is the case, how can you not only ensure customer satisfaction, but also enhance the customer experience? A co-creative community allows you to gather your biggest fans and learn why they love your brand, what they love about you, and how they use your products and services.

They can see that their feedback and ideas are actually being received and reviewed, and that it might even influence future product improvements or innovation. As a result, customers develop deep brand loyalty and become engaged advocates for your brand, extending the reach of your innovation efforts and likelihood of market launch success.

Some people think it's "creative thinkers thinking," or "cool teachers teaching. Over the years, I have taught in seven co-teaching partnerships in a wide range of classroom environments.

This is the path for many dually certified special education teachers in New York City as the push for inclusion continues to spread. My partnerships have led me on an emotional rollercoaster, yet through thick and thin, my belief in inclusion and collaborative team teaching has remained constant.

Though we are making strides in the right direction, we are still in the process of identifying what works in co-teaching. Having co-taught in first grade, second grade and sixth grade, I feel confident in saying that the greatest challenge is finding a working model for middle school co-teachers.

While teaching first and second grade, I had one co-teacher for the entire school year. Whatever challenges came our way, we certainly didn't lack the time to work them out. During my time in sixth grade, I co-taught ELA, math, science and social studies.

Teaching with four co-teachers leaves little time for co-planning or problem solving. Many middle schools use stronger co-teaching models where the special education counterpart teaches two subject areas or one subject and small groups, but even in those cases, co-teaching in middle school presents challenges. Strong co-teachers provide seamless instruction for their students. Both teachers must come to a mutual agreement that they are equals in the classroom, and students must perceive both teachers as invaluable members of the classroom community.

This can be particularly difficult for teachers who have taught alone for many years. Sometimes we don't realize how many decisions we make alone in our classroom on a daily basis. Making decisions as a team is key to a strong partnership, but it is often an adjustment for veteran teachers. This happens quite often at first. Strong co-teachers do not always agree on everything, but they realize that the time for disagreement is not during class.

Finally, strong co-teachers solve problems together. In fact, that is the best part of co-teaching; you're never in it alone! Having two minds facilitate a classroom community allows students to connect with different personalities. Co-teaching allows more opportunities for small group and one-to-one learning, and stronger modeling during lessons. The co-planning process encourages two teachers to bounce ideas off each other in order to deliver the strongest, most creative lessons.

I always enjoyed using my partnerships to model behavior and positive peer-to-peer interaction for students.Do you live in Colorado?

Are you thinking of moving to Colorado and have a question or concern? Comment below…. To like Colorado you have to like the pros and accept the cons. I was born here. Is my home state. To be happy living here, you have to accept the fact that there will be at least 5 months of winter every year November-March and while there can be decent, sunny not warm days during winter, winter can intrude in October and April with snow that sticks even in the Front Range.

Because of a strong reluctance to raise taxes which are not badinfrastructure and education has not kept pace with other parts of the country; our roads and schools are in trouble. Because of strong population growth, the population has essentially doubled between andso getting to somewhere where you can be by yourself is much harder and housing has become very expensive; also, water availability will be an issue for future generations. Colorado, societally can best be described as a cross between the best of California and the best of the Midwest friendly without the extremes.

Thank you for your insight on the pros and cons of living in Colorado, especially since you have been a resident for many years. Even in other states, the trails and slopes during the week and in the morning are far less crowded and make for a more enjoyable outing, in my opinion. Hello Peggy, Colorado has a lot going for it and life is short I realize this as the years seem to go by quicker the closer I get to my expiration date.
